Muriel M. Heraly, 85, Green Bay, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 19, 2013 while surrounded by her loving family. Born September 26, 1927, in Lincoln, WI, she is the daughter of the late Alvin and Edna (DeBaker) Malcore. After graduating from Green Bay East High School, Muriel married Norman Heraly on November 15, 1947, at Saints Peter and Paul Church and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1999, after more than 50 years of marriage. Together, Muriel and Norman worked at Northland Bottling Company and later at Heraly’s Beverage Service until their retirement in 1991. The couple enjoyed traveling to Arizona and Door County with their friends, Buck and Lorretta Jones. She enjoyed spending time with her family playing Sheep’s Head and Aggravation. Muriel loved her Packers and going out to eat at Kroll’s, Village Kitchen (Casco) and “the peanut place” (Texas Roadhouse). She treasured the time she spent tending to her home and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Muriel is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Therese Heraly of Tisch Mills and his sons, Justinn (Pam) and Joshua (Ashley); one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Dave Zettel of Suamico, and their sons, Brandon and Austin; great-grandchildren, Thomas, Cayden, Anna and Carter; one sister, Marion Dewitt; one brother, Carl (friend, Lynn) Malcore; one sister-in-law, Jackie Malcore; brothers-in-law and friend, Gordon Heraly and Maureen Muller and Lawrence Beyer; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Allan Malcore; one sister, Margaret (Bob) LaPlante; three sisters-in-law, Delores “Dee” Malcore, Angie Heraly, and Marion Beyer; and one brother-in-law, Joseph “Scooter” Dewitt.
Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, Tuesday, April 23, 2013, from 4pm until the time of the parish wake service at 7pm. Visitation to continue Wednesday morning, April 24, 2013, at Saints Peter and Paul Church from 9:30am until the time of the funeral. Funeral Mass 10:30am Wednesday, April 23, 2013, at the church with Rev. Anthony V. Cirignani, OFM and Deacon Steve Gretzinger officiating. Burial in Nicolet Memorial Gardens next to her most beloved husband.
Muriel’s family extends a special thank you to the hospitalist staff of Aurora BayCare, Azura Memory Care and Heartland Hospice for the loving care given to Muriel and her family over these past few weeks.
