Pat "Poon" Belanger, Jr.

Patrick "Pat" Poon" G.  Belanger, Jr., 48, Green Bay, passed away early Sunday morning, December 17, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family following a two year battle with cancer. Born October 26, 1975, in Green Bay, he is the son of Patrick and Karen (Hendricks) Belanger, Sr. Pat married  Jenny Martin on August 25, 2001. He was the proud father of his "favorite" daughter, Molly "Poo", and his favorite dog, Belan. Pat will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and time at the family's land in Crivitz. Pat would never let a sunrise, a sunset or a beautiful beach in Florida go unnoticed. Pat was an outstanding handyman that could fix anything, it was always "Poonified". He was a strong, loving man who was always willing to give the shirt off his back to help anyone. 

Pat is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jenny; daughter, Molly; his parents, Patrick and Karen Belanger, Sr.; sisters, Melissa (Dan Williams) Belanger, Kelli (Kevin) Englebert, Jodi (Patrick) Gering, and Jessi (Bob) Coopman; Jenny's parents, Dan and Marie Martin; her sisters, Lisa (Josh) Cook, Amy (Tom) Richard, and Kristin (Jake) Collins; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a "shit show" of friends. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents George and Alayne Belanger and Peter and Edna Hendricks; several aunts and uncles. 

Visitation at Malcore Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 2pm until the time of the service. Service of Remembrance at 6pm. In honoring Poon's wishes, a celebration of his life to follow.  

Pat's family extends a special thank you to the staff of St. Vincent's 9th Floor, Green Bay Oncology, Unity Hospice and his nieces, Kim and Ashley for their care in his final hours.
