Paul J. Champeau, 64, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday evening, October, 22, 2023. Born August 23, 1959, in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Bonnie Champeau Gray. Paul married Patricia Verhoven on July 12, 1991, at St. Mary's Church, De Pere. He worked as a cook at St. Mary's Hospital for 35 years and was currently employed with Jack Maintenance as a custodian. Paul will be remembered as an avid Sci-Fi movies and television viewer, movie trivia expert, history buff, and enjoyment of traveling with his family.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Pat; son, Philip (Samantha) Champeau, and granddaughter, Freya, New Hampshire; daughter, Sarah Champeau, Green Bay; Siblings, Allen (Janice) Champeau, Kaukauna, Roy (Ann) Champeau, Rose (Tom) Eagle, Lynne (Marty) Olejniczak; sister-in-law, Amiee Gray, all of Green Bay; Pat's siblings, Joseph (Barbara) Verhoven, Madison,Michael Verhoven, Green Bay, Jane (Brian) Smits, Appleton, Victoria (Curtis) Turner, Green Bay, Rose (Paul) Lewis, De Pere, Jennifer (Brad) Stallsmith. Green Bay; Godson, David Eagle; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Bonnie Gray; brother, Robert Gray; father and mother-in-law, Sylvester and Bernice Verhoven; Pat's sisters, Sandra Verhoven and Mary (Rick) Rechek.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Friday 27, 2023, from 1:30 pm until the time of the funeral at 3:00 pm.
