Phyllis Bornick, 95, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at a local hospital surrounded by her family. She was born September 18, 1927, in Shawano Co, WI, daughter to the late George and Mary (Adler) Rybicki.
Phyllis married Norbert (Nick) Bornick in 1956. He preceded her in death on October 20, 2002. She was a proud CNA (home healthcare worker), and Phyllis loved her vocation of helping others.

Phyllis especially enjoyed hosting family meals whenever she could. With a kind heart and a quick wit, she was always willing to share stories and experiences from her past with family and friends.
Phyllis was a devout catholic, practiced her Faith daily, and believed in the power of prayer. She will be remembered for having a great sense of humor and a kind heart. Phyllis was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors include her three sons: Jim Bornick, Nyon, Switzerland; Dave (Patti) Bornick, Coleman; and Joe (Patsy) Bornick, Green Bay; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren (with 1 on the way), and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her Parents and Husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by her 2 brothers, 6 sisters, and her cherished cat, Petie.

As Phyllis was an animal lover, please consider a donation to Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary in lieu of flowers.
Phyllis’s family would like to thank the ICU staff at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Unity Hospice for their care, support, and compassion.
