Rachel Elizabeth Frisch, 90, Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at a local hospital. Born January 13, 1932, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Martin and Elizabeth (Rondou) Van Den Heuvel. Rachel is a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy, Class of 1949. She went on to graduate from UW Madison in 1956 and received her Masters from UW Green Bay in 1985. She married Jack Frisch on April 8, 1956, in Yonkers, NY and he preceded her in death on April 30, 2013. Rachel was an active volunteer with the League of Women Voters and attended the YMCA regularly. Rachel was a long-time member of St. Bernard's Parish. She will be remembered for her love of traveling, both with the family or by herself, her joy of the theater and was an avid reader.
Rachel is survived by three children, Paul (Miriam) Frisch, Rochester Hills, MI, RaeAnn Frisch, Green Bay, and Jim (Cheryl) Frisch, Skiatook, OK; seven grandchildren, Michael Frisch, Adam Frisch, Joel Frisch, Zak Frisch, Brittany (Jake) Pratt, Jessica Graves, Levi Graves; one great-grandson, Xander Pratt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; one sister,Mary (Larry) Maus; two brothers, Louis (Norine) and David (Elaine) Van Den Heuvel; one grandson, Samuel James Frisch.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Tuesday, October 18, 2022, from 10am until the time of the service. Memorial service, 11am Tuesday at the funeral home with Fr. Ken DeGroot officiating. Inurnment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
