Ray Perry Jr., 72, Green Bay, passed away March 30, 2024. Born on August 26, 1951, in Burlington, WI, he is the son of the late Duane and Peggy Perry. Ray's elementary school years were spent in Milwaukee, his family moved back to Browns Lake in Burlington, WI where Ray attended high school. He then went on to graduate from the University of Stevens Point with a degree in Forestry. He met his wife, the former Chris Van Schyndle on Valentine's Day in Stevens Point and they were married June 16, 1973. They started their married life in Plymouth, North Carolina, where Ray was a Forester for Weyerhaeuser. They welcomed two sons while residing in Plymouth, Ray III and Michael. Wanting to move closer to family Ray took a job with Proctor and Gamble in Green Bay. They then welcomed their daughter, Jenny. He worked for Proctor and Gamble for many years retiring in 2003. Ray then started his own consulting firm Perry Forestry Consulting. He was very active with the Green Bay Philatelic Club, Green Bay Retired Men's Club, Special Olympics, Trees for Tomorrow, and St Matthew's Catholic Church. Ray enjoyed the outdoors, especially, hunting, hiking, and fishing. He really cherished his time with his family on hunting trips. Ray loved sharing his love of the woods with his grandchildren. Ray's first love was his love of the Lord. He will be deeply missed by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Chris; three children, Ray III (Amanda) Perry, Michael Perry, Jenny (Jeremy) Crees; four grandchildren, Drew Crees, Chase Crees, Cole Crees, and Addison Perry; one sister, Laura (Scott) Boniface.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Helen (Lee) Mathews, Anne (Lindy) Schultz.
Visitation at St Matthew's Catholic Church Friday April 5, from 9:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers the family would like all donations to go to L.I.F.E Academy PO Box 10711, Green Bay, WI 54307. L.I.F.E Academy is an organization that helps handicapped people live at home.
The family would like to thank the staff of Bellin Hospital especially, Cardiac ICU. Also, a special thank you to the staff of Moments Hospice.
