Roland "Peck" Rottier, 81, Howard, passed away June 7, 2024. The son of the late Christian and Marie (Heezen) Rottier, Peck was born into a large and loving farm family on June 15, 1942.
He graduated from Abbott Pennings High School, and began a long and successful career in the building industry, retiring from Stock Lumber in 2004.
He married Joyce Lubenske on May 31, 1965. Together, they built a life filled with faith, love, laughter, and the joy of raising five children.
His natural athletic ability and outgoing personality led to many lifelong friendships. From competitive travel basketball with the Swan Club team, to multiple golf groups, leagues and tournaments (Door County, GMO), to Adventure Club, and the Handsome Men’s Club, he valued all of those relationships.
He also loved deer hunting, playing cards, and traveling.
Peck held many titles in his life including farmer, mover, salesman, athlete, coach, mentor, and “professional hugger”, but his favorites were husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
His legacy is one of great Christian faith, gratitude, kindness, generosity and the best sense of humor.
Memories of Peck are honored and kept alive by his loving wife, Joyce; his children, Shelly Lukasik, Missy (Bob) Rukamp, Stuart (Terry) Rottier, Melanie Styczynski, Chris (Aretta) Rottier; grandchildren, Jenna (Taylor) Splan, Nathan (McKenna) Rukamp, Haley Rottier, Wyatt Rottier, Sophia (Dustin) Smith, Amanda Iverson, and Corbin (Meganne) Rottier; great-grandchildren; Bella, Miah, Elaina, and Adeline; siblings, Dick (Mary) Rottier, Harv (Alice) Rottier, Bob Rottier, Cathy Rottier, and Jean Rottier; brothers and sisters-in-law, Janice Rottier, Bob (Darlene) Clark, and Jack Lubenske.
