Rosalind Jane Arthur Boncher, 86, Green Bay, died peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2013. Born on April 20, 1926, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Martin and LaBelle (Arthur) VanBeek. She is a 1946 graduate of East High School and the Milwaukee Beauty School. On October 26, 1946, she married Myron Joseph Boncher, and he preceded her in death on October 1, 2009. Rosalind was a Girl Scout leader, as well as a member of the St. Matthew's Christian Mothers. She was one of the first women in Northeast Wisconsin to receive her private pilot's license in the early 1960's. Rosalind loved to garden and enjoyed playing bridge. She adored her books and was an avid reader. Her children described her as an excellent cook!
Rosalind is survived by two daughters, Susan Boncher Crow of Denton, TX, and Candace Boncher Medieros of Bront, TX; one son-in-law, Mike Medieros; four grandchildren, Steve Kephart, Brad Crow, Michelle Crow, and Shelly Cullum; one grandson-in-law, Reed Cullum; four great grandchildren, Steven, Rilee, Kennedy, and Braxton; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Dolly (Lyle) Boncher, and Lovita DeWitt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; baby daughter, Marilyn, and her brother, Victor Arthur.
Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird St., Thursday April 18th, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral service, Friday April 19th, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Deacon Don Ropson officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
