Ruth I. Mahn, 94, Green Bay, died peacefully at a local nursing home on February 27, 2014, with family by her side. Born on October 22, 1919, in the Town of Washington, WI, she is the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Elsie (Priem) Seidler. On February 22, 1947, she married Russell Mahn, and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2003. Ruth cherished times at home raising her family, and later worked as a seamstress at H.C. Prange, and a secretary at Northwest Engineering. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting Christmas ornaments, and gardening.
Ruth is survived by five children and their spouses, Karen Schultz, Sandra Mahn, both of Green Bay, Robert (Sandra) Mahn, De Pere, James Mahn (Cal Husmann), Appleton, and Marsha Mahn, Ellensburg, WA; nine grandchildren, Kevin Schultz, Mandy (Darin) Lemerond, Jenny McKenna, Jamie (Michelle) Vande Hey, Ronda (Harry) Hammer, Tracy (Ryan) Fabry, Dustin Mahn (Deron Demers), Bobbie Lynn Mahn, and Hayes Martinez; eleven great grandchildren, Gryffon Schultz, Darin Lemerond, Jr., Matthew McKenna, Nathan, Kennedy, and Sierra Vande Hey, Cory and Trenton Hammer, Olivia and Sophia Fabry, and Al’Moni Chambers; and one brother-in-law, Ralph (Alice) Mahn.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and six brothers and three sisters.
Visitation at First United Church of Christ, 509 S. Webster Avenue, Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Robert Laubenstein officiating. Malcore (West) Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
