Sandra A. (Bruening, Vande Hey) Linskens, 77, DePere, passed away peacefully, early Saturday morning. December 3, 2022, at a local hospital. Born January 7, 1945, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Theodore and Lorraine (Roberts) Verheyden. Sandy graduated from East High School, Class of 1963. She later graduated from NWTC with a degree in accounting. With this degree, she went on to work for Fort Howard, Humana and retired from Thrivent. Sandy enjoyed traveling, seeing new sites and spending winters in warmer climates. Sandy loved spending time with friends, family and her kitty and never wanted to miss any activity.
Sandy is survived by five children, Carrie (Randy) Carroll of Mesa, AZ, Tammy (Dan) Backes, Kevin and Scott Bruening and Shannon Putzer, all of Green Bay; seven grandchildren, Jonathan (Miska), Christopher (Nicole), Kelly, Carissa (Ryan), Drew, Cody, and Alex; six great-grandchildren; numerous step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; one sister, Edie Vandervest of Algoma; and two sisters-in-law, Lucille Roberts of Green Bay and Lizabeth Burnett of Little Chute other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Donald Roberts; first husband, Wayne Bruening; second husband, Jerome Vande Hey, third husband, Richard Linskens; and many other relatives and friends.
TENTATIVE: Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Friday, December 9, 2022, from 10am until the time of the service. Memorial service 12:30pm at the funeral home with Pastor Aaron Schaut officiating. . Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
