Shirley Mae Borowitz, 84, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home on January 1, 2021. Born on November 29, 1936, she is the daughter of the late John and Clara (Wertel) Borowitz. Shirley attended Ss. Peter & Paul grade school. She then worked at St. Vincent’s Hospital in housekeeping for many years and later at 7-UP Bottling Co.
She will be remembered as a kind and friendly neighbor, sometimes even babysitting for them. Shirley loved keeping house and being outside in her garden, but mostly loved spending time with her daughter, Sheila, who was her whole world.
Shirley is survived by her beloved daughter, Sheila McGraw, sister-in-law Rita Borowitz , and a niece, Suzanne (Charles) Rabideau and Suzanne’s son Eric (Joylyn) Heil and their children Griffen and Madelyn Heil.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank (Elaine) Borowitz, Johnny (Clara) Borowitz, Henry Borowitz, and her sister and brother-in-law, Ann (Carleton) Vickman.
Sheila would like to thank Dr. Steven Novotny and Bellin Hospital for all their care given to Shirley over the years and also Christie and Nancy from Unity Hospice. Special thanks also go to Chaplain Nate from Unity for his spiritual support and caring.
