Steve A. Zimmerman, 69, Green Bay, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022, at a local hospital with his sisters at his side. He was born August 4, 1953 in Green Bay, son of the late William and Janice (Kloth) Zimmerman II. Steve graduated from Green Bay Preble and attended UW-GB. He worked at Vandertie Cold Storage and cooked at the Club Chalet. Following he moved to Arizona to cook then came back home where he managed and cooked at Ziggey's with his father. He then retired due to health reasons.
Steve loved working in his yard and gardening. He also enjoyed showing Doberman's. He loved celebrating Holidays with his sisters and their family...it was special to him to be with his nieces and nephews and their families.
Survivors include siblings: Debra LeCaptain (Bob LeCaptain) and their children, Jim, Bridgette LeCaptain, Kristal (Luke) Ferron and their children, Hailey and Kira; great-granddaughter, Remington; Mary (Pete) DeJardin and their children: Eric (Courtney) DeJardin and their children, Tara, Ashlynn, Kinsey, and Devon; Gina (Ben) Mleziva and their children, Sophia, Abigail, and Bryce; Tiffany (Mike) Faltynski and their children, Greycie, William, and Ethan; Brittany (Brandon) Stone and their children: Audrey, Cayson and Beckett; Avery (Amy) DeJardin and their children, Wren and Finn; and Camen (Miranda) DeJardin and their daughter, Kennedy; Bill (Wendy) Zimmerman; Benji (Sherry) Zimmerman; Jodi Bousche; Janal (Jerry) Hendricks; and Randy Zimmerman; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird, on Sunday, September 11, from 3 p.m. until the hour of service at 6 p.m. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
The family would like to thank the staff of Aurora Baycare emergency staff and especially Matt on third floor ICU for all the wonderful care he gave Steve.
