Thomas Meath

Thomas Meath, 85, Green Bay, passed away peacefully May 19, 2023, surrounded by his family. Born on August 9, 1937, in Madison, WI, he is the son of the late Richard and Elsie (Guetzlaff) Meath. He graduated from West High School in Green Bay in 1956. Tom worked at Boulder Parts where he met his wife, Gladys Meath. They married on June 27, 1964, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Green Bay. He then worked for Paper Converting Machine (PCM) for over 40 years retiring in 2002. Tom loved spending time with his family, especially his 2 children and 5 grandchildren. He liked making people laugh and never missed an opportunity to tell a dad joke.  Tom enjoyed spending time at the family’s camper near Shawano Lake, volunteering at the church, and singing in the church choir and Baylander Barbershop Chorus.   

He is survived by two children and five grandchildren, Melissa Meath (Green Bay) and her three children, Alec, Jenna and Caitlin, and Michelle (John) Calzada (Parker, CO) and her two children Jaydon and Paige. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law, Lucille Socha (Oneida), and Redeena Regal (Green Bay); brother-in-law Arthur Regal (Suring); and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Meath; parents; sisters-in-law, Carson (Darlene) Richter and Jean Regal; and brother-in-law Robert Socha.

Visitation at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 210 S. Oneida St., Friday, May 26, from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM.  Funeral Service will take place at 10:45 AM at the church.  Burial at Ft. Howard Memorial Park.
