Verna E. Van Roy, 92, went to meet the savior, Saturday May 25, 2024. She was born October 28, 1931, to Irene (Liebmann) and Ben Van Roy. She lived her life in the house she was born. Verna worked at Jahnke's for many years and was a proud farmer at her family homestead. She was a long time caregiver for her sisters. Verna was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and was a Sunday School teacher until its closing. She was loved by everyone who met her and will be missed.
She is survived by nephew, Wayne (Nancy) Van Roy, Green Bay, and a niece Geraldine (Tom) Moore. Also, survived by great nephew and great nieces Joe Moore, Thomas (Debbie) Moore, Wendy Bushmaker, Jami Kohl, and Treena Messerschmidt; many other relatives and friends.
Verna was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Calvin, Milton, and Norman Van Roy; two sisters Ethel (Thomas) Moore-who raised Verna, Florence (Hiram) Moon all of Green Bay; three nephews, Richard Tahlier, Jerry (Donna) Moore, Thomas (Geraldine) Moore of Green Bay.
Visitation at Malcore Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 9 AM until the time of the service at 12PM (Noon). Burial at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
