Viola Maahs passed away peacefully on August 25, 2018 at the age of 98. Viola was born September 2, 1919 in Cadott, Wisconsin to Jacob and Ottilla Sonnentag.
While living and working in Laona, Wisconsin, she met Robert Maahs. They were married on October 21, 1939. In 1942 they moved to Green Bay where they raised their family. In 1974 they retired and moved to Fence, Wisconsin and lived on Lake Oneonta where they had many happy years. They were married for 77 years.
Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sr. and her daughter Judy Camomile.
Viola is survived by her sons, Robert Jr. (Cindy), and David (Margaret), her sister Theresa Legner, ten grandchildren, and twenty-two great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brookview Meadows for the excellent care provided to Viola over the past two years.
