Viriginia Surk

Virginia (Francour) Surk, 94, Green Bay, passed away peacefully, June 3, 2017, at McCormick Assisted Living. Born on May 4, 1923, in Loomis, WI, she is the daughter of the late Adam and Agnes Francour. “Ginny” graduated from Menominee High School class of ’42. She was a proud homemaker and mother of eight children. Virginia may have been better known as Aunt Bubby to family. She loved to cook and was known for her big heart and HER LOVE OF BABIES. All who knew her were appreciative of her unique personality and her funny life stories.

Virginia is survived by her six children, Carla (Henry) Allgeyer of Menominee, MI, Linda (Jim) Sargent of Saranac, MI, Daniel Eastburn of Green Bay, Andrew “Mick” (Kerry) Surk III of Denmark, Kenneth Surk of Phoenix, AZ, and Sallie (Steve) Jerovetz of Green Bay; son-in-law, Eugene Vanden Heuvel; ten grandchildren, Jackie (Wade) Behnke, Amy (Jerry) Murray, Christine (Jerry) Novak, Shawn and Nick Sargent, Jason (Samantha) Vanden Heuvel, Samantha and Adam Surk, Tyler and Ryan Jerovetz; eleven great grandchildren; siblings, Helen “Tootie” Bezio, Mildred “Millie” Walters, Dorothy Schwindt, Eugene (Annette) Francour; brother-in-law, Fran Chilson; sister-in-law, Katherine Francour and numerous nieces and nephews, other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her two children, Cheri Eastburn, and Lina Vanden Heuvel; one granddaughter, Jean Marie Vanden Heuvel; siblings, George Francour, Ella Behrend, Jeanette Nettleton, John “Augie” Francour, Patrick Francour, Lorraine Gruszynski, Frances “Biddy” Chilson, Florence “Tini” Carviou and Willard “Sonny” Francour.

Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home 701 N. Baird St. Thursday June 8, from 4 PM until 8 PM. Memorial Service at 7 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth DeGroot O. Praem. officiating.
